Loly restaurant, one of Macau’s best-known Indonesian eateries, has closed down, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
“Sorry to my lovely customers, today is my last day cooking nice food for you. We will permanently close [from] tomorrow,” Indah Handayani Sunardi, the restaurant’s owner and chef, wrote in a post on Loly’s Facebook page last Sunday.
The post does not mention the reason behind the restaurant’s closure but some sources said that Sunardi was relocating to Hong Kong, and her post only says “Inshaallah (God willing) I will be back”, indicating that Sunardi hopes to reopen her restaurant sometimes in the future.
Sunardi also thanked her staff and customers in her post. “We are grateful for your loyalty and support,” she said in the comment box.
“We will miss the good food … hope you will open again soon … no one will beat the taste of your food,” a follower named Ul Fa commented. (Yip Kiu)
