Frequent Philippine Airlines flyers have recently found that it is not possible to book a Macau-Manila flight for the Christmas season – the biggest season for most Filipinos returning home to visit families and relatives – as the Philippine Airlines will temporarily suspend flights between Macau and Manila from 1 September.

“The airline didn’t say exactly why and how long the suspension will take place, only that the route will be suspended until further notice due to operational reasons,” one of those frequent flyers told Good News Macau yesterday.

Meanwhile, Philippine Airlines operates flights between Hong Kong and Manila, while Cebu Pacific Air and Philippine Air Asia also operate flights between Macau and Manila. (Wong Kin Ang)
