Mexican model and fashion design graduate Fatima Bosch won this year’s Miss Universe pageant defeating 119 other representatives in the beauty competition’s grand final that was held in the city of Pak Kret, Nonthaburi province, Thailand yesterday.
Coming second and third in the contest were Thailand’s Praveenar Singh and Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali, respectively, while strong contender Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines and Olivia Yace of Côte d’Ivoire became third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Bosch, 25, whose full name is Fatima Bosch Fernandez, became the fourth woman from Mexico to win the Miss Universe title. – GNM
