Shun Tak-China Travel Ship Management (Macau) Limited started operating sightseeing cruises between Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and Barra Pier on Friday.

The route is the first cruise route to use the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal for embarkation and disembarkation, according to a press release issued by Macau’s Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA).

During the initial phase of operation, the cruise route will offer one round-trip daily, with a travel time of around 25 minutes. The sailing from the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal to Barra Pier departs at 10:30 am, while the one from the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal to Barra Pier departs at 5 pm. For information on sailing schedule and ticketing contact the ferry operator.

The space optimisation project at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal was completed in the fourth quarter of 2024, enabling the ferry terminal to handle passenger boarding and disembarkation for sightseeing cruises. This enhancement enables the operators to use more piers for cruise operations, enrich cruise routes, and offer a wider range of marine tourism products for locals and visitors alike.
