A new Pokémon theme park is set to open in Tokyo in Spring 2026, according to various media reports.

The “PokéPark Kanto” will be the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon-themed attraction.

Covering an area of around 26,000 square metres, the park will be located inside Japan’s “Yomiuriland” amusement park, situated in the Tama Hills area of the Japanese capital’s Kanto region.

Advance ticket sales are expected to begin late this year.

Currently being developed as a collaboration between The Pokémon Company, Yomiuriland and Yomiuri Shimbun, the park will be divided into two main zones: Pokémon Forest, a wilderness area with varied terrain, and Sedge Town, a social hub with attractions and a Primarina fountain, some media reports have pointed out.
