The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) launched its “Experience Macao” roadshow in Kuala Lumpur earlier today, following a successful promotional event that was also held in the Malaysian capital city in October last year.

Again, targeting Southeast Asia as a continuously growing market, the local tourism office is currently hosting the “Experience Macao” roadshow in Kuala Lumpur for four days.

In addition, the office also held the “Macao Tourism + MICE Product Updates Seminar & Travel Mart” at the Sunway Resort Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on yesterday.

According to MGTO Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong, Macau welcomed 85,140 Malaysian visitors in the first half of this year – nearly twice the figure recorded over the corresponding period of 2023 – making Malaysia the fourth largest international visitor market and the seventh major visitor market for Macau.
