TWO PHILIPPINE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY’S LEGENDARY ARTISTS, NORA AUNOR AND PILITA CORRALES, PASSED AWAY RECENTLY

Filipino entertainers Nora Aunor and Pilita Corrales have recently passed away. 

Aunor (pictured, left) – a recording artist, actress and film producer – died on 16 April, aged 71. She was known as the Philippine cinema’s superstar, with The Hollywood Reporter magazine dubbing her “The Grand Dame of Philippine Cinema” particularly for her performances in the movies “Taklub” and “Hustiya”.  

Corrales (pictured, right) was a singer, actress and comedian known as the “greatest singer in the Philippines” and “Asia’s Queen of Songs”. She recorded a total of 135 albums throughout career, spanning six decades. She died on 12 April, aged 85. (Yip Kiu)
