SJM recently launched “The Lisboa, Stories of Macau” exhibition, presenting an immersive journey through 500 years of the city’s unique multicultural heritage, through which visitors can discover fascinating stories of historical figures, iconic landmarks, cultural traditions, rare artifacts and interactive games, all brought to life through state-of-the-art technology.
The exhibition is held at the Grand Lisboa Palace Art Gallery, Shop 2013, Level 2, Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau in Cotai.
The exhibition comprises eight themed zones – each showcasing the SAR’s iconic landmarks – that guide visitors through the city’s distinctive East-meets-West heritage and its remarkable transformation from a Ming-era trading port to today’s “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”.
In addition, “The Lisboa Collection” presents “Chinese Treasure: Qing Dynasty Court Art”, an inaugural exhibition featuring exquisite Qing Dynasty court art from the treasured collections of SJM and STDM, with displayed masterpieces including the “Filled-in Gold and Lacquered Dragon Throne”, “Eggshell Porcelain Glazed Bowl with Coral Dragons Motif” and “Spinach-green Dragon Jade Burner”, among others.
